Aidan's First Day at Preschool

April 11, 2011

Our baby boy is all grown up.  What a terrifying first day it was for him.  Aidan struggled to get out of bed, went hiding and was frightened at the thought of going to school.  He mustered up the courage and walked through those gates.  When it was time for me to leave, Aidan cried and cried and didn’t want to let go of my hand.  It was one of hardest thing I’ve ever experienced, but I knew that he will be just fine.  Aidan is very smart, thoughtful and courageous.  He made it through the first day and managed to bring me a surprise.  I will never forget his beautiful painting just for me.

P.S.
Thank you teacher Carmina and Staff for welcoming Aidan and making this transition so pleasant for him. :)

Our Tías from El Paso

We were so happy and delighted to have our tías: Rachel, Theresa & Alicia from El Paso with us for a few days.  Need I say more...these ladies are so loving, caring and funny. They really lightened up our hearts with their free spirit ways.  Can't wait to see them again.

The Backyard

Today marks the beginning of a long and strenuous project for my beloved husband. We have more backyard then we’d opted for when we purchased our home in 2005. It started out as a beautiful and manageable pool, but overtime it turned into more of a hassle to maintain than for enjoyment. We eventually neglected the responsibility and decided it’s best to get rid of it. Today my husband and my brother teamed up and hauled two truck loads of dirt into the pool. After a hard day’s work, the result is more than what we expected. Yikes!!!!

P.S. Aidan helped out by cheering them on and posing for pictures. :)
